I'm excited to share a bit of an obsession I developed thanks to our adventure in Hawaii, pineapples!! :D Honestly, I hated pineapple before this trip, but, wow wee, it was so much better in Hawaii so I've been obsessed with it ever since. I brought home several pineapple souvenirs from the islands, but, lucky for me, pineapples are all the rage in decorating right now. So it's been easy for me to add other pieces to add to what we brought home. Anyway, I'm getting away from the point, pineapples in Hawaii. I wanted to share one last bit from our day on Oahu, our visit to the Dole Plantation and fields in Central Oahu.
banana tree at the dole plantation.
there were also banana trees on our resorts' property. so neat!
chickens, chickens everywhere on oahu.
the gardens at the plantation were beautiful!
there were plants and fruit plants of all the tropical variety!
patio at the dole plantation. there was SO much to do & see here.
dole plantation pineapple fields.
pineapples in every nook & cranny. there were on the trim of the porch.
pineapples packed and ready to ship all over the world!
my dad used to be a produce manager of a grocery store, and told me when he would order dole pineapples
they would fly straight in from hawaii and make it to his store within two days. talk about fresh!
more rainbow eucalyptus trees. i never tired of these.
the facade of the plantation. i love the plants!
pineapple fields in Central Oahu. i LOVED seeing these!
we made a stop alongside the road to capture these photos. the little pineapples are so cute!
We really enjoyed the Dole Plantation. There was a lot to
see and do here. We enjoyed just walking around, shopping (tons to buy here),
and taking in the garden. The pineapple fields north of the plantation were a
great bonus that had me giddy! My first time seeing a pineapple plant. :)
Thanks again for stopping by. Check back Monday, I'm going to share our
snorkeling adventure at the famed Molokini Crater. See you then!
