Hello there! I hope you've been off traveling the world or enjoying your world right at home. I've been insanely busy, which turned into an involuntary hiatus from blogging. But I've spent the last week or so preparing a ton of photos, ideas, and posts to share with you. I want to start right where I left off traveling wise, Las Vegas. We spent a week in Vegas back in April, and had an amazing time. This was our second visit to Vegas, and it was even better than the last. The next few weeks I'll be sharing more in depth, so for today, I want to share the highlights from our trip.
Even among a sea of people, in a bustling, glamorous locale, we are completely alone. Belonging only to one another without the distractions of everyday life and commitments--work and home (i.e. cleaning, cooking, laundry, home repairs, car repairs, yard work, emails, insane work schedules, the list goes on). We are free to give each other our undivided attention and explore the world together. I love how no matter where we go, it always ends up being some grand adventure. Our second visit to Las Vegas was no exception.
Along with taking in the city lights and the glitz & the glam, we adventured to new heights and speeds. We spent our days exploring and relaxing, and our nights taking in the bright lights and fabulous shows. We enjoyed delicious desserts, and laughed about the worst meal we'd ever had. I longed for our room from our first stay in Vegas, but took full advantage of the amenities around us. We browsed museums, learning so much along the way, and explored the lost loves of the strip. We ventured to the Valley of Fire in a fancy 'Vette, and strolled through a small town that is "the Home of the Hoover Dam." We soared above the city in a hot air balloon, and took in close up views in the High Roller. We kissed at the famous fountain show, and walked what seemed like a million miles hand in hand.
Above all, we saw more of this amazing world than we had before, and spent the best days together. And that's what it's all about.
More coming soon. For now, enjoy these highlights.
