Grand Canyon Skywalk

As I mentioned yesterday, after our helicopter trip to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, we enjoyed the Skywalk. Like where to took the boat tour, the Skywalk is on the Hualapai Indian Nation land, meaning it is cared for by the Hualapai Indians. This land is incredibly sacred to them, as it should be to us. It's an honor to visit such an amazing place, and a real treat they offer such amazing views via the Skywalk.

The Skywalk is essentially a glass shelf located at Eagle Point on the Grand Canyon. Cameras, purses, phones, wallets, etc. are not allowed on the Skywalk itself, but they are kind enough to take photos for you. I recommened scooping one of those up so as to have a photo of the "shelf" itself. However, the photos I have to share today are of mostly the "eagle" along with a few other bits of what's around the Skywalk visitor center.

Along with the Skywalk and amazing views from right at the canyon's edge (yikes!), there are informational area about the Hualapi people and Indian homes. They are placed along a trail that over looks desert terrain and the canyon as a backdrop. There is also a store, small food shop, and areas for picnicing outside. But the star of the entire show is the eagle formed into the Grand Canyon!

Is that not spectacular?! Did you also notice the dog laying on top? So incredibly that nature creates such wonder. God is truly an amazing artist! Our next trip to Las Vegas, we have a drive to the Valley of Fire State Park planned out where there is an "elephant rock". I'm so excited and anxious to see that as well!
