The Mirage Secret Garden & Other Touristy Spots

It's no secret that Las Vegas is a bustling tourist attraction, and there's really no way of steering clear of all of the cliché tourist spots. So my advice? Embrace it! That leads me to today's ramblings, a mish mash of a few of my favorites of those attractions.

First up, what screams glitz and glam of Vegas better than Siegfried & Roy. So this spot isn't actually glamorous, but it is pretty cool! Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage is a fun must see, and you just might run into Siegfried & Roy themselves! Yes! I know a few people who've had the pleasure of catching a photo op with this famous duo. Even if not, the gardens, animals, and Mirage itself are pretty spectacular, right down to the grand entrance of the resort.

Another of my favorite spots was Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at The Luxor. More than just my inner 14-year-old self was giddy about this. It was truly a pretty incredibly exhibit! The highlight being an actual piece of the hull of the ship. Yes, actual piece! You know... Like brought up from the depths of the sea after lying in a watery grave for years and years. It's been preserved, and put on display for Titanic and history lovers alike to see. Along with that, you'll find other arctifacts from the famed ocean liner, clothing, dishes, photographs, and incredible & heart-wrenching stories real life accounts. So this is really more than just a tourist attraction, it's an incredible history lesson right in the middle of the Entertainment Capital of the World.

Cameras aren't allowed in the exhibit,
but I enjoyed a photo with this ship replica.

My last, well the last I'm going into detail about, is the Gondola Ride at The Venetian. This is a definite tourist cliché, but I couldn't help but secretly love it. You'll enjoy a fun Venice, Italy inspired ride around the "pond" in front of the resort. The gondolier will even serenade you with a Dean Martin original, "That's Amore". As silly as it was, it was just as much fun. Live a little, and enjoy this fun attraction.

So even though a lot of these attractions are certainly touristy, you'll love enjoy letting loose and checking them out. Throw caution to the wind, and embrace all that Vegas has to offer, including the "silly" touristy spots. :)
