On our most recent visit to Las Vegas, we had fabulous views of pools, gardens, beautiful mountains, and an amazing Ferris wheel from our hotel room. The wheel was definitely the star of our view, towering above and taking over the sky. We knew we had to add it to our must visit list, and we weren't disappointed.
Tucked between a couple of great hotels on the Las Vegas Strip is this huge wheel. It's almost like the Western Hemisphere's London Eye. It's the Las Vegas High Roller. It's a fab Ferris wheel with pods large enough to hold 40 people! Take the 30 minute ride around for spectacular views of the mountains, the strip, and the fab nearby hotel pools. We went early in the day when they first opened around 11, and had a whole pod just to ourselves. This gave us a great opportunity to walk freely around, get more photos, and relax. Watching the wheel itself move around is spectacular in and of itself, plus there are videos playing throughout the ride showing how it was made and works--very cool. You can also rent out a pod for a private party, complete with a bar! How's that for high rollin'?! Check out my favorite shots from our ride around the High Roller.
